SSG Pool had three different M4 Sherman tanks known as “In the Mood,” all three were disabled or destroyed. The crew consisted of:

 

Tank Commander- Lafayette “War Daddy” Pool

Gunner- Willis "Groundhog" Oiler

Loader- Del "Jailbird" Boggs

Bow Gunner- Bert "Schoolboy" Close

Driver- Wilbert "Baby" Richards
