KNIGHTS OF THE ARMOR FORCE

Tanker Cadence

Nothing promotes esprit de corps within an Armor unit like a good cadence. This includes both running and marching cadence. Knights of the Armor Force would like you to submit your best Tanker, Tank Corps or old Fort Knox cadence to us.  Also, please let us know if you want your rank and name posted with your cadence or if you prefer it to be posted anonymously.

Tune: Battle of New Orleans Written by James Morris

In 1940 we took a little trip.
Me and George S. Patton headed down to Mississipp.
We shot our main guns till the barrels melted down.
then we grabbed a couple legs and we went a couple rounds.
Cause we’re mentally able and we’re physically fit.
And if you ain't Armor you ain't sh_t!

Fort Knox Streets

Created by: SFC (p) Ralph Lowell Coleman

(1980, 194th Armored Brigade)

I don't know but I've been told,
Fort Knox streets are paved with gold.
I don't know, it may be true...
If it is here's what I'll do:
Take my shovel, dig that gold;
Take it where old gold is sold.
Buy myself an aero-plane;
Soon I'll be back home again.
Walkin' down the street so fine,
MPs gonna blow their minds

Yellow Ribbon

Around her hair she wore a yellow ribbon

She wore it in the spring time, in the early month of May

And if you asked her why the heck she wore it

She’d say she wore it for her TANKER who was far, far away

(chorus) Far away, Far away

She wore it for her TANKER who was far, far away

Around the block she pushed a baby carriage

She pushed it in the spring time, in the early month of May

And if you asked her why the heck she pushed it

She’d say she pushed it for her TANKER who was far, far away

(chorus) Far away, Far away

She pushed it for her TANKER who was far, far away

Behind the door, her father kept a shotgun

He kept it in the spring time, in the early month of May

And if you asked her why the heck he kept it

She’d say he kept it for her TANKER who was far, far away

(chorus) Far away, Far away

Jesse James

Jesse James said before he died

There’s five things that he wanted to ride:

Bicycle, tricycle, automobile

An M-1 Tank and a Ferris wheel

Jesse James said in his final will

He had five things that he wanted to kill

A lion, a tiger, a kangaroo

A long haired hippie, and drug dealer too

And if he could kill just one

He’d kill the drug dealer, let the hippie run

Armor Proud Cadence

Rollin down the tank trail kickin’ up dust,

TC’s on the Fifty raising a fuss,

I said hey TC, what the big deal?

I got a grunt rollin’ through my front roadwheel.

Cause there’s two things that I can’t stand

It’s an M4 and an infantryman.

And everyone knows that grunts aint shit.

Cause we’re mentally able and we’re physically fit

If you aint Armor then you aint shit.
