KNIGHTS OF THE ARMOR FORCE
Creed of the Noncommissioned Officer
Sergeant explains the tactical plan at the Armored
Forces School, Fort Knox (circa 1941).
Knights of the Armor Force encourages all Armor NCOs to learn and conduct their daily duties in accordance with the Creed of the Noncommissioned Officer. This is especially true as it pertains to taking care of soldiers and being technically and tactically proficiency. If an Armor NCO is competent in the Shoot, Move and Communicate core skills and has a genuine concern for his soldiers everything else will fall into place.
Background: The NCO Creed was submitted to the Department of the Army in 1974 for approval and distribution Army wide, but it was not formally adopted until 1985. It has been rewritten a few times over the years but the paragraphs have always begun with the three letters: N-C-O. Today the NCO Creed continues to be a guide to reinforce the values to a new generation of Noncommissioned Officers. In this section you will find a copy of the currently approved version of the NCO Creed.
